  1. This ZIP file contains cross-assemblers originally from the
  2. Motorola freeware BBS for several microprocessors (6800, 6801,
  3. 6804, 6805, 6809, 68HC11, 68HC05). These all run on an IBM PC.

  5. I have only used ASHC5 (MC68HC705 assembler). I recently logged
  6. on the Motorola BBS and could not find them any more, so I am
  7. uploading them here in the hopes that they will be useful. I have
  8. also included the STOBIN utility which converts the S19 object
  9. record produced by the assembler into binary format for use by an
  10. EPROM programmer. With these tools, you can bootstrap program
  11. most of these microprocessors (I believe).

  13. These assemblers are NOT supported by Motorola, but I have done a
  14. lot of work with them. I have not tried to re-compile them from
  15. the sources.

  17. Known bug:
  18.   A comment line may begin with a "*" in column 1. If there is
  19.   any blank space before the "*", the assembler hangs.
