- This ZIP file contains cross-assemblers originally from the
- Motorola freeware BBS for several microprocessors (6800, 6801,
- 6804, 6805, 6809, 68HC11, 68HC05). These all run on an IBM PC.
-
- I have only used ASHC5 (MC68HC705 assembler). I recently logged
- on the Motorola BBS and could not find them any more, so I am
- uploading them here in the hopes that they will be useful. I have
- also included the STOBIN utility which converts the S19 object
- record produced by the assembler into binary format for use by an
- EPROM programmer. With these tools, you can bootstrap program
- most of these microprocessors (I believe).
-
- These assemblers are NOT supported by Motorola, but I have done a
- lot of work with them. I have not tried to re-compile them from
- the sources.
-
- Known bug:
- A comment line may begin with a "*" in column 1. If there is
- any blank space before the "*", the assembler hangs.
-
- Good luck.
